My story

The invisible world has been the greatest muse in my life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the hidden layers of human experience – the symbols, stories, and beliefs through which people make sense of themselves and the world around them. Much of my life has been devoted to exploring how imagination, ritual, mythology, and culture shape the way we experience reality.

This curiosity has led me into the worlds of medieval magic and witchcraft, exploring how people of the past made sense of the invisible realm, how they explained their world, and built meaning within it. My PhD research focuses on medieval Nordic magic and the symbolic meanings of the feminine within the discourse of magic.

Beyond academic research, I have spent years exploring different cosmologies and traditions – from mythology and folklore to Buddhism, Hinduism, animism, and shamanic worldviews. Each offers a different language for engaging with mystery, imagination, and human experience.

Atelier Marras is where these threads come together.

It is a space where scholarship meets creative practice, and where ancient stories enter into conversation with contemporary life. Through essays, research, art, and reflection, I explore the symbolic landscapes that continue to shape how we understand ourselves, one another, and the world.
